Affidavit of C. Barrie Bedell

I hereby declare under penalty of perjury:

        (1) For many years it has been my practice to loan and/or give away copies of The Urantia Book.

        (2) Several years ago Urantia Foundation cut off sales to all distributors from whom book stores and other re-sellers traditionally obtain books. I was no longer able to obtain The Urantia Book from my traditional supplier, nor from book stores locally.

        (3) I learned that Urantia Foundation was selling small quantities of The Urantia Book directly to individuals, and in December, 1991 attempted to purchase copies directly from Urantia Foundation.

        (4) Urantia Foundation refused to sell me copies of The Urantia Book as evidenced by the attached copy of their January 3, 1992 letter sent to me by Certified Mail.
