Comments on "Unity" with Urantia Foundation

I believe the Urantia Papers have NO HUMAN AUTHORSHIP. I believe the Urantia Papers have superhuman authorship EXCLUSIVELY. I believe the Urantia Papers are the fifth epochal revelation to the planet. I believe the authors are those listed in the Papers. I believe the Thought Adjuster of the sleeping subject was used — and not the sleeping subject.

I have based my life on the Urantia Papers being exactly what they claim to be: an EPOCHAL revelation from God — a gift from God to everyone on this planet — authored, indited, written, composed, compiled, arranged, created, transcribed, translated, collected, assembled, delivered, transmitted, selected, coordinated, chosen, organized, sponsored, dictated, unified, made meaningful, presented, authorized, mandated, assigned, revealed, portrayed, depicted, commissioned, narrated, requested by, formulated, presented by authority of the Ancients of Days, and materialized BY SUPERHUMANS.

If humans were involved IN ANY WAY with the actual creation, the copyrightable authorship, of the Urantia Papers, the Papers would be what's called "auto- revelation." The fact of superhuman authorship — with NO HUMAN AUTHORSHIP — is what makes the Urantia Papers an EPOCHAL revelation. This is the position of a lot of folks: Doc Sadler, Bill Sadler, Lena Sadler, Christy, etc.

Judge Schroeder of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Urantia Papers were "created" — "transcribed, compiled, and collected" — by the contact commission. This is the record, unchallenged by the Foundation. Schroeder claims that humans "compiled, selected, coordinated, and arranged the Urantia teachings in such a way that the resulting work as a whole constitutes an original work of authorship." She ruled: "The Papers were therefore protected by common law copyright from the moment they were created by the members of the Contact Commission until publication of the Book."

Schroeder also ruled: "We hold that the human selection and arrangement of the revelations in this case could not have been so 'mechanical or routine as to require no creativity whatsoever.'" "Thus, notwithstanding the Urantia Book's claimed non-human origin, the Papers in the form in which they were originally organized and compiled by the members of the Contact Commission were at least partially the product of human creativity."

The Urantia Foundation is standing behind these statements. The Foundation has a copyright on the basis that the Urantia Papers were selected, arranged, edited, and channeled by humans. The Foundation has reduced the Urantia Papers in the eyes of the world to auto-revelation, not epochal revelation. These claims of human authorship constitute the Foundation's copyright. And a copyright is why the Foundation is asking the court for an injunction against "Maaherra and those in active concert or participation with her" from quoting the "text of the Urantia Book."

Basically, we have what's called a values conflict here. I don't think humans "transcribed, compiled, and collected" or "compiled, selected, coordinated, and arranged" any part of the Urantia Papers. I do not believe the contact commission "hired" the revelators to write the Urantia Papers. I do not believe Bill Sadler "authored" the Papers. I do not believe the Papers were "created by the members of the Contact Commission."

A values conflict. All the problem solving and compromises in the world won't change a values conflict. "Unity" with the Foundation simply isn't possible for me. I am a believer in an epochal revelation, not a "reader" of auto-revelation.

And now, the Foundation wants the Court to force their belief system on me.
