Chicago, IL 60614Dear Pat,
On October 3, Members of the Fellowship Negotiating Team and Trustees of the Urantia Foundation gathered in Chicago and agreed upon a new framework for cooperation. A key feature of this agreement was your request and our offer to explore and develop a working relationship in the arena of translation activity. I was encouraged at these prospects because translation projects are an area where the interests of our two organizations converge. I was graciously extended, and accepted, an invitation to attend the upcoming translator's conference in Paris, France.
Unfortunately, your recent legal action against our community of believers through the subpoena isued to Asoka and Agondonter foundations complicates these prospects. These actions undermine the development of trust necessary for cooperative activity and are not in keeping with the spirit of our agreement.
As a result of these actions, I regret to inform you that I must decline your invitation to attend the translator's conference.
Best personal regards,
John Lange, Chair, International Fellowship Committee Member, Fellowship Negotiating Team
