DEAR FELLOW BELIEVER IN THE URANTIA PAPERS:
I believe I have a right to study this book, and to call myself a "Friend" of this book. I believe that I have a right to make any study aid I can come up with. I believe I have a right to share these study aids. I believe I have a right, as a child of God, to wear, exhibit, use, and share the emblem of the Trinity, the banner of Michael, the three azure concentric circles. I believe I have a right to identify myself as a "Urantian," a person who lives on "Urantia" and believes in the revelation. I believe I have the right to advertise my study group using the name "Urantia" and the circles. I believe I have the right to give away copies of the Urantia Papers as fast as I can find interested brothers and sisters to receive such gifts. I believe I have the right to worship God by publicly and openly identifying myself with the Urantia Papers. I believe I have the right to go on television as a believer in the Urantia Papers and to talk about our beloved revelation on television or radio. I believe I have the right to look for typographical errors in the Urantia Book and to share those finds with others. I believe I have the right to look for changes between printings in the Urantia Book and to share those findings with others. I believe I have the right to own and share the Urantia Papers on audiotape, and to play those tapes to anyone I want to. I believe I have the right to put the Urantia Papers on computer disk, and to share the resultant electronic copy. I believe I have the right to make an infobase search of the Urantia Papers on computer. I believe I have the right to make copies of the Urantia Papers in Braille. I believe I have the right to translate the Urantia Papers into every language in the world. I believe I have the right to attend or give conferences for readers of the Urantia Papers. I believe I have the right to open a school, build an intentional community, or hold public worship services based on the Urantia Papers. I believe I have the right to create artwork inspired by the Urantia Papers that uses words and symbols and ideas from the Urantia Papers. I believe I have the right to compose secondary works using as inspiration any of the people or situations described in the Urantia Papers. I believe I have the right to create a complete Concordance of every word in the Urantia Papers. I believe I have the right to wear jewelry and T-shirts and use bumper stickers, stained glass windows, etc., that openly identify myself with the Urantia Papers. I believe the Urantia Papers are not just "my religion," but are the Fifth Epochal Revelation to this planet. I believe that the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America guarantees my rights to the Urantia Papers in all the ways described above and includes freedoms I haven't even thought of or challenged yet.
AMENDMENT I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
