Can Saskia be a fair and honest broker on her Square Circles website when she solicits comments on the "Unity of Purpose Initiative" and then refuses to carry some of them because she has "a case of the ass" toward someone? Why won't Matthew, her new husband, courteously reply to my e-mail to him since he's married Saskia? He's always replied courteously before. Has he become uncharacteristically rude all of a sudden? Is he toeing the company line as laid down by Saskia? Is Saskia blocking my mail to Matthew as she says she's doing with my mail to her? National Inquirer-ing minds want to know. These and other issues such as: How much of the Urantia Revelation does Saskia believe? What sets her off? What happens if she can't be boss?, will be explored and examined. "Hello Ernest, ...I have now had valuable
firsthand experience with the cult mentality you so accurately describe
below. It was just a word to me before, even when I was reading ABOUT it in
the Jesus papers and elsewhere. But now it has taken on real meaning for me
and allows me to sympathize wholeheartedly with anyone in the past who has
ever taken a stand towards eliminating error and been denounced, ridiculed,
or even killed for it. (I have concurrently been warding off similar hate and
willful ignorance on the Foundation's list, from which I also unsubscribed
yesterday, so that cult mentality seems to be across the board.) You are
right: That is the price we may have to pay, and they will say they are doing
it in the name of God. But it is an honor to be persecuted for righteousness'
sake. Just understanding this cult mentality helps a person to deal with it
in a sane way, which was not possible for me before. I will no longer allow
them to make a fool out of me, as you pointed out below. We all have to learn
by experience. It is unfortunate that Dr. Sadler's name became so indelibly
associated with the Urantia revelation that it created a demi-God out of him.
This is what people are fighting to preserve, and this will cause no end of
trouble. Even Dr. Sadler himself tried to avoid this from happening. My goal
is simply to present documents I have uncovered that will correct accepted
misconceptions and promote fairness. (For instance, Sherman openly revised
his beliefs on reincarnation in 1941, so to continue to saddle him with his
prior beliefs is unfair, and only makes the researcher look like an amateur.
I have many other examples that I can't go into here.) Together we can work
toward the truth we are all searching for, without having to see eye to eye
on the interpretation. I am not getting into a discussion on these issues as
I have resigned from the lists and need to buckle down. Our work will be
announced on our site, www.squarecircles.com and on UBRON. As I have stated
many times, it will be the people of the future who will appreciate it, long
