Welcome to the New Earth
What is the New Earth?
God will soon intervene directly in human affairs to manifest the final triumph of good over evil. He will miraculously inaugurate a New Earth for the survivors of the end of the world.
The end of the world?
Beginning in 1990, successive wars will bring seven years of tribulation and will culminate in a nuclear catastrophe and world crisis. Over two billion selected people will be saved, the remainder will perish. The prophet Zechariah wrote of these things:
In the whole land, says the LORD, two thirds shall be cut off and perish, and one third shall be left alive. (Zechariah 13:8)
How will people be saved?
The surviving population will be taken off the uninhabitable earth by angels. Christians have traditionally called this mass evacuation the "Rapture". The survivors will be transported to an emergency evacuation world, a planet specially prepared by God. It is called GRACELAND, Paradise of Righteousness. Jesus referred to the Spirit of God within us, and also mysteriously to this new land of our future salvation when he told Pontius Pilate:
My kingdom is not of this world. (John 18:36)
Will I be a survivor?
The evacuees are being selected now by invisible judges sent from heaven. To be picked, one must have sincere and steadfast FAITH IN GOD. These are really the "trials" of each individual for the Last Judgment, and they began behind the scenes in late 1987. Judgment Day, when verdicts are announced and final justice enacted on all evildoers, will not occur until about 2021 A.D. This Last Judgment will take place here, but you shall watch it in GRACELAND as a broadcast, beamed from earth. The prophet Daniel described this judgment-selection long ago:
But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book. (Daniel 12:1)
What is this book?
Daniel was referring to the Book of Life, the evacuation manifest or list of names of the selected mortals to be saved. If your name is in the Book, you will be taken to GRACELAND.
Do I have to be affiliated with a certain religion?
No. It is solely your genuine FAITH IN GOD that counts, regardless of your religious affiliation in the rich mosaic of beliefs on earth. Jews, Moslems, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, and so on, can all count on salvation if their faith is sincere.
What is GRACELAND like?
An enormous sphere ten times the size of earth, GRACELAND has neither oceans nor mountains! It abounds in celestial light and botanical grandeur, a latter days Garden of Eden. Magnificent new cities stand unoccupied. Simple but comfortable homes have been made ready, along with free food, clothing, and other needs.
What will this evacuation be like?
An angel will put you to sleep, before any serious harm comes. She will dematerialize your body, changing it to a state which can be flown through space. In this temporary state, you will be taken to GRACELAND and your mortal body then reanimated. This will take several days, but you will be unaware of this passing time in your unconscious sleep. There will be neither pain, nor suffering. The Bible describes this evacuation:
Then two men will be in the field; one is taken and one is left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one is taken and one is left. (Matthew 24:40-41)
Will my body be the same?
No, it will be considerably improved! Marks of aging will be erased and youthful appearance restored. You will look as you did when you were 25 years old! Your natural span of life or longevity will be extended to about 300 years. The prophet Isaiah wrote of this:
For like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be. (Isaiah 65:22)
You will be healed of every infirmity. The blind shall see, the deaf hear, and the lame shall walk. Congenital defects will be corrected, amputated limbs restored, and every permanent disability repaired. Your vision will be corrected to normal, and metal fillings or artificial dental work will disappear, as your teeth are fully restored. What is more amazing -- your vision range will be extended to take in the lower orders of angels and even human souls! Your hearing range will be expanded to a vista of beautiful cosmic sound, the music of the spheres. You will be given a capacity for mental telepathy, communications with others up to fifty miles away. Finally, women will be permanently adjusted for painless childbirth.
What will be the status of women?
In the new social milieu of GRACELAND, women will finally find true equality with men. For example, they will serve jointly in positions of authority.
What will we do in GRACELAND?
Enterprise and endeavor will mark our new economy, with a worldwide standard currency, virtually no inflation, and minimal taxes. We will pursue our own capital interests, even as we work together for social welfare in this Commonwealth of God.
How will the language problem be solved?
We will learn the language of our universe, a collection of nearly four million inhabited worlds. This universe tongue will become the international language of earth. As the prophet Zephaniah promised:
Yea, at that time I will change the speech of the peoples to a pure speech, that all of them may call on the name of the LORD and serve him with one accord. (Zephaniah 3:9)
This is also the language of the television-like universe broadcasts, which we will experience for the first time in GRACELAND. The seers of old called them the "new heavens." (Isaiah 65:17, 66:22, 2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1) Beamed from every corner of a far-flung creation, they will forever liberate us from a sense of cosmic orphanhood.
Who are the Elect?
The Elect are resurrected martyrs, and will number about 144,000. They are the men and women of the past, and of every religion, whose faith remained steadfast when they were tortured or murdered by their persecutors. They will resume their interrupted" lives in restored bodies, and will live 1000 years! In their ranks will stand the glorious martyrs of centuries of history, like the prophets Amos, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah, who all met violent deaths. We will dine at great banquets and personally meet Paul of Tarsus, the Paul of Christianity, as well as at least five of Jesus' apostles who were martyred. Jesus prophesied of these messianic banquets in GRACELAND when he said:
And men will come from east and west, and from north and south, and sit at table in the kingdom of God. (Luke 13:29)
The returning apostles will include Andrew, who was crucified in Achaia and hung on the cross for two days, Peter and his wife who was thrown to the lions when he was crucified, Philip and his wife who was stoned to death at the foot of his cross, Matthew Levi, who was murdered in Thrace, and Thomas Didymus, executed by Roman agents in Malta.
Will we someday return to earth?
We will be brought back to a divinely rejuvenated earth in about thirty years, by the same angelic transport technique used to evacuate us. Of this day of resettlement, Ezekiel promised:
I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places shall be rebuilt. And the land that was desolate shall be tilled, instead of being the desolation that it was in the sight of all who passed by. (Ezekiel 36:33-34)
Will this rejuvenated earth be the same?
Universal peace and the absence of serious crime will make the New Earth the utopian kingdom of God of our dreams. Agriculture will be lush and verdant, and wild animals pacified, their diets changed from flesh to vegetarian. As Isaiah
prophesied:
The wolf and the Iamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox. (Isaiah 65:25)
Heavenly Trees of Life will be planted here, their potent leaves dispensing medicine, and their delicious fruit essential to the 1,000-year life span of the Elect. A world ruler from heaven will make Jerusalem his capital, a supernatural prince long held in waiting to assume the sovereignty of the earth.
A prince from heaven?
A son from the highest of the orders of the Sons of God in our universe -- the Melchizedeks -- has been designated to rule this world in a flesh body. We will first meet him in GRACELAND. He will sit as the deputy or vicegerent prince on behalf of he who actually holds the title Prince of Peace, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus is known on high as Christ Michael, and is Creator and Sovereign of this universe. The prophet Daniel knew of these things, for he referred prophetically to Jesus as "Michael your Prince." (Daniel 10:21; 12:1) Michael is not an archangel! Melchizedek's first name is Machiventa -- to us Lord Machiventa, Lord of all the earth, yet he goes by many titles. To Jews, he is the expected Messiah; to Hindus, he is Kalkin; Buddhists call him Maitreya; to Zoroastrians, he is Saoshyant which means savior. North American native peoples have called him the Man of Hope or the Man of Peace. Regardless of his traditional name in the various cultures of earth, he will be all things to all people.
Is there more information about Lord Machiventa?
This high spirit being, billions of years old, embodies the wisdom 'of the ages and the cosmos. He will be incarnated in a specially constructed mortal body, carrying no human bloodline. This is just as he was 4000 years ago when he first came to earth on an emergency spiritual mission in the days of the patriarch Abraham. One of the New Testament writers knew Lord Machiventa was a supernatural being, for he wrote:
He is without father or mother or genealogy, and has neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God he continues a priest for ever. (Hebrews 7:3)
He will have a dark complexion, in appearance resembling a Semitic man, just under six feet tall. The Essenes, an ancient ultra-orthodox sect of Jewry living near the Dead Sea in the times of Jesus, foretold that Lord Machiventa would someday rule this world. One of their ancient scrolls discovered only recently, describes Melchizedek as the world's Deliverer and final victor over evil in the end.
Will Lord Machiventa be the only celestial being in the New Earth?
A number of supernatural personalities, some just barely visible, will return to earth with us. The most remarkable will be 86 Trinity Teacher Sons. These exalted beings will come forth from Paradise, the Central Isle of Light and Life, the Deity Residence! They will not be visible, but a technique will be provided for us to communicate. Jesus of course, as the glorified Christ Michael, has promised to some day visit again this world of his mortal sojourn:
But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven. (Matthew 24:36)
Who is Elijah and what is his role?
The prophet promised by God at the end-times is the third to use the name Elijah. The first Elijah was a mighty Hebrew teacher who ascended to God about 2900 years ago. Jesus designated John the Baptist the second Elijah. The spirits of these great men, along with Moses, have returned in the invisible to help the 20th century Elijah. He is a consoler and comforter, herald of the planetary evacuation to GRACELAND, as well as the forerunner of the coming prince. Elijah is also messenger of the covenant.
Messenger of the covenant?
Jews traditionally view their relationship with God as a covenant, a sort of binding contract. Elijah brings a new covenant for all religions and all peoples. This truth was actually taught by Jesus long ago, but it has become a hazy idea in many minds. An actual Fragment of the Universal Father comes to live inside each of us when we reach about six years of age. Faith in this Indwelling Spirit makes us sons and daughters of God, relatives of the Father, and members of His earth family! It also guarantees eternal life in a progressive ascent to God. The prophet Jeremiah revealed this final covenant would not be a written contract of laws, like Moses' ten commandments, but rather God's guiding Spirit within:
I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts. (Jeremiah 31:33)
And Ezekiel promised this Indwelling Spirit would lead us to love:
A new heart I will give you, and a new Spirit I will put within you. (Ezekiel 36:26)
Elijah will also address the rejuvenation of family life.
The rejuvenation of the family?
Healthy families are essential to the advance of civilization, but a number of circumstances today threaten to swamp this centerpiece of cultural survival. Malachi the prophet pointed to Elijah's work in this regard when he wrote:
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers... (Malachi 4:5-6)
Should I prepare for these wars of the 1990s?
No fallout shelter, however elaborate, nor tons of extra food will save you -- but where there's true faith in God, angels will! The end of the world is not bad news, it's wonderful tidings! It's the final fulfillment of the Christian prayer -- "Your kingdom come!" -- and the hopes of all humanity. The Golden Age is at hand! Little wonder the ancient Sibyl mused of these very days:
Oh most blessed, whatever man will live to that time. (Sibylline Oracles, Book 4:192)
Thrice happy was the man, and four times blessed! (Sibylline Oracles, Book 8:164)
