Is Jerusalem The Curse Of The World?
Is Jerusalem The Curse of The World?

The purpose of the this paper is not to berate the Jews. The Jews are a marvelous race. Observe their near-miraculous accomplishments during the past sixty years. However, their astounding achievements as a nation will neither stop nor delay the horrific events which so soon will envelope the human race.

According to John the Revelator, 200,000,000 horsemen will be gathered together in a place called Armageddon during the End Times. Where is this place called Armageddon? What world events could trigger such an unheard of number of soldiers in one place?
Many theologians are generally agreed that the battle of Armageddon will be fought in Palestine. Supposedly, the armies of the whole world will be brought together for this catastrophic battle. During the Years of Tribulation the world will go berserk. World wide anarchy will reign. In view of the uncontrolled global confusion, it is doubtful that the armies of the whole world would have the means to travel to Palestine.

Said John the Revelator:
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. [Revelation 16:16]
And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. [Revelation 9:16]

As foretold more than 2000 years ago, the curses of transgression have now overtaken the Jews. The Jews have made the city of Jerusalem a curse to all the nations. And for the reason that they would not hearken to the voice of the Lord. They refused to amend their ways and reform their doings.
There is a possibility that Jerusalem will be destroyed before the Day of Armageddon. If this happens, no doubt a world now weary of the incessant conflict in the Mid-East would breathe a sigh of relief. However, even should Jerusalem be totally destroyed, that will not solve the world's problems. In fact, even if the nation of Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth, that would neither stop nor delay the march of events that are about to descend upon the human race. The trumpets are sounding, the gavel is poised, ready to strike. During the past 200,000 years of the Lucifer Rebellion, God has been infinitely merciful and patient with a human race mired in evil, wickedness, and moral corruption. But God and Jesus have decreed that now universe justice must prevail.

During the soul-searing Years of Tribulation mortals will be looking for scape goats on whom to cast their fury. The Jews will readily come to mind.
Kings from the north, the south, the east, and the west, with huge numbers of followers, all with murder in their heart, will converge upon the hapless nation of Israel, to tear the Jews limb from limb.
And all because the Jews would not hearken to the voice of the Lord? It hardly seems that the Jews are to blame for all the woes of the world. Part of the problem stems from the fact that from birth millions of Muslims are taught to hate and revile the Jews as well as all "infidels." Muslims reiterate repeatedly that the Jews can be blamed for just about everything. No doubt during the Years of Tribulation when mankind is helpless, hopeless, and furious at events that can be neither controlled nor alleviated, Muslims in the millions will be more than willing to march against Israel.

During one of the Master's Sabbath sermons, he read the following prophecies from the Scriptures to the Jews. Listen to the warnings given to the Jews more than two thousand years ago.

“But it shall come to pass, if this people will not hearken to the voice of God, that the curses of transgression shall surely overtake them. The Lord shall cause you to be smitten by your enemies; you shall be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. And the Lord shall bring you and the king you have set up over you into the hands of a strange nation. You shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all nations. Your sons and your daughters shall go into captivity. The strangers among you shall rise high in authority while you are brought very low.
And these things shall be upon you and your seed forever because you would not hearken to the word of the Lord. Therefore shall you serve your enemies who shall come against you. You shall endure hunger and thirst and wear this alien yoke of iron. The Lord shall bring against you a nation from afar, from the end of the earth, a nation whose tongue you shall not understand, a nation of fierce countenance, a nation which will have little regard for you. And they shall besiege you in all your towns until the high fortified walls wherein you have trusted come down; and all the land shall fall into their hands. And it shall come to pass that you will be driven to eat the fruit of your own bodies, the flesh of your sons and daughters, during this time of siege, because of the straitness wherewith your enemies shall press you.”
[Deuteronomy 28:15,25,32,37,41,43,45,48,50,52,53,55,57] [UB 153:2:1]

"If you will not hearken to the words of my servants the prophets whom I have sent you, then will I make this house like Shiloh, and I will make this city [Jerusalem] a curse to all the nations of the earth. The Lord sent me [Jeremiah] to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words which you have heard. Now, therefore, amend your ways and reform your doings and obey the voice of the Lord your God that you may escape the evil which has been pronounced against you. As for me, behold I am in your hands. Do with me as seems good and right in your eyes. But know you for certain that, if you put me [Jeremiah] to death, you shall bring innocent blood upon yourselves and upon this people, for of a truth the Lord has sent me to speak all these words in your ears." [Jeremiah 26:5-16]

Our planet is a stark reminder that high intelligence without morals is suicidal. Once again, mortals will demonstrate the eternal truth that "The wages of sin is death."
