THE FINAL BATTLE
Jesus vs. Caligastia et al
Two hundred thousand years ago Lucifer, the System Sovereign, rebelled against Michael [Jesus] and God the Father. He issued his infamous Declaration of Liberty in which he made sweeping, terrible, and blasphemous charges against God. Satan, Lucifer's first assistant, joined him. Satan came to earth and persuaded Caligastia, our Planetary Prince [known as the "devil"], to join the cause of Lucifer. [Isaiah 14:12-17] [UB Papers 53, 54, 66, 67] During the past 200,000 years the battle has raged: the primary task of Caligastia and his rebel followers has been the destruction of as many mortal souls as possible. The sixty members of the Staff of One Hundred who joined Caligastia worked diligently advancing the cause of Lucifer until they were overtaken by death. [They were relegated to mortal status when they joined Lucifer in his rebellion. (UB 67:2)] But now the final battle looms in the near future. The superhuman personalities in the spiritual realms surrounding our planet know that Osama's Day of Armageddon is just around the corner. The battle between the forces of Jesus and the forces of Caligastia will intensify during the remaining days before the day of doom. It is Caligastia [the "devil"] plus the other apostate spirit personalities still on the planet who will comprise the rebel army whose members have labored unceasingly for 200,000 years to destroy the souls of as many mortals as possible. The dragon became the symbolic representation of all these evil personages. The dragon is mentioned numerous times in the Book of Revelation. [UB 53:1:6]
Leaders of the Rebel Celestial Army.
Who will support Jesus and God against Caligastia's rebel army? We do not yet know who will lead the loyal celestial army supporting Jesus and God.
In the mid-1930s there were about 1,000 mortals enrolled in the Reserve Corps of Destiny. [UB 114:7] The number of mortals presently enrolled in this Reserve Corps of Destiny we do not know. How many of them will courageously and openly support Jesus in this final battle we do not yet know. Will Caligastia succeed in so confusing these individuals that they will choose to observe the final battle from the sidelines?
Christians have been thoroughly saturated with the doctrine that Jesus died on the cross to pay for their sins. Will they now support Jesus in the forthcoming final battle? At the present time the number of Christians worldwide is estimated to be about two billion. World population is estimated to be about 6.5 billion. If all Christians actively support Jesus in the final battle
and heed the warnings announcing the coming day of doom, the number of mortals who perish would be about four billion rather than six billion-plus. We conclude that exceedingly few Christians will support Jesus in the task of warning the world of the coming day of doom. There are many thousands of persons around the world who study and believe the teachings of
The Urantia Book. How many of them will support Jesus in the final battle we do not yet know.
All adults on the planet must decide whether they will support Jesus or Caligastia. Caligastia will be very effective in confusing not only Christians but followers of all other world religions. Christians [and others] will be mentally paralyzed: They will be unable to make rational decisions. They will be fearful of "changing horses in midstream." They will be incapable of getting off "dead center." During Jesus' epochal sermon in Capernaum [April 30, 29 A.D.] he told the congregation in the synagogue: I surmise that there may be as many as billions of persons whose universe career will end at their physical death. John the Revelator tells us that countless mortals will not repent of their evil doings. [Revelation 9:21] The number of casualties from soul deaths will be horrendous. We know that the army fighting for Jesus will be victorious in the forthcoming final battle. The traitorous Caligastia and his equally traitorous followers will use every weapon in their arsenal. Their fighting tactics will be "no holds barred." "Take no prisoners." It will not be enough. They will go down in utter defeat. Caligastia and his deluded followers will surely suffer personality extinction by order of the Ancient of Days, the rulers of our superuniverse. These traitors will become as though they had never been. All spirit personalities in our local universe of Nebadon await the Uversa executionary broadcast that will effect the annihilation of the unworthy traitors who joined Lucifer. We do not know when this executionary broadcast will occur. But let us hope that after their total and utter defeat these rebel spirits will be removed from earth and placed on the prison worlds in Jerusem, the capital of our local System of Satania. The efforts of Caligastia and his rebel followers have been enormously successful. The authors of
The Urantia Book describe our planet as disordered and backward; spiritually retarded; a world beset by evil; a world largely dominated by selfishness and sin.
Each time the soul of a mortal is completely destroyed that person's universe career ends at death. Such persons become as if they had never been. From Caligastia's point of view, the spiritual death of a person is far more desirable than mere physical death. A person who has created a soul with survival value will be resurrected in heaven regardless of the method of physical death.
The war in heaven was fought in terms of life eternal. The final battle on earth will also be fought in terms of life eternal. [UB 43:4:6,8,9] [UB 53:5:6,7] [Isaiah 14:12-17]
[1] Caligastia, the "devil," our traitorous Planetary Prince, will no doubt be the "five-star general" leading the army of celestial personalities who comprise the foes of Jesus and God. Caligastia is cruel, vicious, sadistic, cunning, wily, ruthless, a master psychologist
. . . who for the past 200,000 years has posed as the Holy Spirit or other "divine messenger" dispensing the "Word of God." He and his traitorous followers have succeeded in causing the soul death of billions of mortals.
[2] Abaddon was the chief of staff of Caligastia. He followed Caligastia into rebellion and has ever since acted as chief executive of the disloyal celestial army. [Revelation 9:1-11] [UB 53:1:5] However, he does not have the non-existent keys to a non-existent bottomless pit.
[3] Beelzebub was the leader of the disloyal midway creatures who allied themselves with the forces of the traitorous Caligastia. [Matthew 12:24-27] [UB 77:7:4]
The celestial army will probably be comprised of billions of superhuman beings. The author of Paper 114 in
The Urantia Book, the Chief of Seraphim stationed on our planet, stated that at noon on a certain day in the mid-1930s, there were about 1,194,393,600 individual angels under his command. There are about the same number of cherubim as seraphim, and they are similarly organized. This means that during the mid-1930s the total number of celestial administrative personnel on earth was about 2.4 billion. The angels are ably assisted by several thousand midwayers.
World population has increased appreciably since the 1930s. The number of superhuman administrators now in the spirit realms around our planet may well be three billion or more. Jesus can direct that billions of additional celestial personnel come to earth to support him and his other loyal celestial personalities in this final battle.
Will it be Gavalia, the head of the Brilliant Evening Stars? [UB 37:2:6]
The chief of the archangels? [UB 37:3]
The chief of Seraphim? [UB Papers 38 and 114]
Could it be Gabriel, the chief executive of Nebadon, the "supreme commander of the armies of heaven," "the Lord God of hosts"? [UB 33:4] [UB 38:6:2] [UB 114:0:1-3]
Christians will suffer the same fate as persons who choose to ignore the warnings that the end of the world as we know it is imminent. Contrary to what Christians believe, there will be no Rapture; Jesus will not arrive in clouds of glory to establish a thousand-year reign.
[Revelation 1:7 ~ 11:15 ~ 20:4 . . .]
Verily, verily, I say to many who sit before me this day, you are confronted with the necessity of choosing which way you will go; and I say to you, as Joshua said to your forefathers, "choose you this day whom you will serve." [UB 153:2:5]
Today, many mortals also stand at the parting of the ways.
