Court Case Updates

The following documents are from Plaintiff Urantia Foundation's August 27, 1996, lawsuit against Eric Schaveland and Kristen Maaherra. At this time (April, 1997), Eric is still pro se (which means he is representing himself) and Joe Lewis of Washington, D.C., is representing Kristen as he did in the former lawsuit (now on Appeal) which held the Urantia Papers are in public domain. The Foundation filed this new trademark and copyright lawsuit in Colorado. Judge Wiley Y. Daniel is the Colorado Judge assigned to Civil Action No. 96-D-2004. There are 3 Motions in front of Judge Daniel right now, but it looks as though he is going to wait for the Copyright Decision from the Appeal Court before deciding the Copyright and Trademark Motions in his Court.
